Durbrow Performance Spotlight Sunday: Jean Sullivan
Happy Sunday and welcome back to another edition of the Durbrow Performance Training Spotlight Sunday.
This week I want to showcase one of our rockstar clients from our 6am sessions.
Jean Sullivan started training here in June, coming at 6am on Tuesdays and Thursdays religiously. I don’t think she’s missed a session yet.
Jean has been completely crushing every training session. She has increased her kettlebell swings by almost 30 pounds and she has improved her overall mobility tremendously. When she started training she had trouble with single leg work due to balance and strength issues but now she can rock out single leg squats and lunges for multiple sets with weight.
The coolest part of this story is that since June, Jean has lost 20 pounds of body fat, 12 pounds of scale weight (meaning she’s added lean muscle) and over 15 inches total.

Before joining Durbrow Performance Training, my exercise routine consisted of doing cardio at the gym 3 or 4 times a week . I wasn’t seeing any results, so it was very discouraging and I began to go less and less. After my daughter joined Durbrow Performance , she convinced me to give it a try.
Since joining in June of 2012, I have lost 20 pounds of body fat and 15 inches. In addition, I am just surprised when I think about how far I have come in such a short time. I can’t believe I am saying this but I think my favorite exercise is The Prowler.
Although I still have a lot of room for improvement, I really didn’t think I would make it past the first week and I kept questioning whether I was too old for these workouts. However, seeing positive results makes me excited about continuing to improve.
Most importantly, I no longer need medication for High Blood Pressure that I was taking for over 20 years. I used to hate when I would hear people saying this but, I feel so much better on the days that I workout in the morning.
